The runners – Andreas Mylonas, Marios Hasapis, and Nikos Kalogirou – are three young men currently serving in the National Guard, who dedicated their effort to supporting and empowering people living with IBD.
The route was broadcast live through the Miles4_ TikTok profile, allowing people from across Cyprus and abroad to participate virtually and support the initiative.
The President of CYCCA, Ms Natasa Theodosiou, and the Administrative Officer, Ms Athina Spanou, on behalf of the Board of Directors present at the event, warmly thanked the runners and their families for supporting this effort over many months. They emphasised the need for greater awareness and support for patients, expressing hope for a more informed and compassionate society.
It is estimated that more than 7,000 people in Cyprus, including many children, are living with IBD. CYCCA continues to work towards raising awareness, supporting patients, and advocating for their rights.
We would also like to thank our long-standing sponsor OPAP Cyprus for its support.
