The Cyprus Association for Ulcerative Colitis and Crohn’s Disease (CYCCA) would like to thank everyone who attended the event held on 13 April in Limassol. Special thanks to the doctors (Dr Amanatidou, Dr Georgios Karampekos, and Dr Penelope Nicolaou) and Nursing Officer Mrs Anastasia Christoforou, together with the team of the Gastroenterology Department of Limassol General Hospital, for their presentations.

The topics discussed included the establishment of a Gastroenterology Clinic at Limassol General Hospital, the challenges and issues faced by the hospital’s Gastroenterology Department, and the various shortages affecting its operation.

Mr Panicos Leonidou, member of the Parliamentary Health Committee, committed to raising in Parliament the various issues affecting both patients and healthcare professionals, including the creation of a Gastroenterology Clinic and other related matters.
