We are very pleased and satisfied to inform you that the Minister of Labour, Ms. Zeta Emilianidou, has announced the Employer Incentive Scheme for the recruitment of people with chronic illnesses. The scheme is expected to be officially launched on 24 October, together with all terms, conditions, and relevant information. Interested patients should remain alert and follow developments closely. As a preliminary note, in order for a patient to be eligible, they must be a member of the relevant patient association, and their application must be approved both by their association and by the Cyprus Federation of Patients Associations and Friends (CyFPAF). This specific programme was originally our idea. Through a series of initiatives and meetings with the Minister of Labour and officials from her Ministry, we succeeded in demonstrating the need to support people with chronic illnesses in finding employment. Subsequently, together with the Cyprus Federation of Patients Associations and Friends (CyFPAF), we worked closely with Ministry officials on the details of the programme.
