A memorandum of cooperation between the Pediatric Clinic of Archbishop Makarios III Hospital and King’s College Hospital for collaboration in the fields of liver and gastroenterological diseases was signed today in the presence of the Minister of Health, Stavros Malas. The Minister of Health described the signing of the memorandum as an important milestone, stating that it formally establishes this type of cooperation within the healthcare sector. The Minister noted that the collaboration with King’s College Hospital in the fields of pediatric hepatology and pediatric gastroenterology opens the way for immediate expansion of the partnership to adult patients as well. Discussions have already taken place, and it appears possible to extend the cooperation so that both public and private sector physicians can become part of this initiative. For his part, the Senior Executive Director of King’s College Hospital stated that today marks an important moment in the cooperation between the two hospitals.
