On Wednesday, 15 September 2022, the Cyprus Crohn’s & Colitis Association (CYCCA) held a meeting at the Ministry of Health. Representing CYCCA were Mr Yiannis Antoniadis (Vice President) and Ms Athina Spanou (Administrative Officer). Representing the Ministry of Health were Dr Nikos Panagidis – Medical Officer First Class, and Maria Michail – Secretary of the Ministry of Health Committee for Named-Patient Requests for Nutritional Products. Topics discussed: ▪️ Named-patient requests for medications and nutritional products for patients with IBD. ▪️ Ongoing medication shortages affecting patients with IBD. ▪️ Invisible Disabilities and IBD. ▪️ Testing for biological drug levels and antibodies. ▪️ Day Care Services and biological therapy infusions. ▪️ Collection of medications from public hospitals.
