On Wednesday, 11 June 2025, the President of the Cyprus Association for Ulcerative Colitis and Crohn’s Disease (CYCCA), Ms. Natasa Theodosiou, delivered a presentation as part of the educational programme “Care of Individuals with Chronic Bowel Diseases”, which took place from 2 April to 20 June 2025. The programme was organised in collaboration with the Education Sector of the Directorate of Nursing Services of the Ministry of Health and Frederick University.

Ms. Theodosiou’s presentation was entitled “The Expert Patient”, highlighting the importance of patients’ active participation in the care and management of their chronic condition.

Following this, Athina Spanou, Administrative Officer of CYCCA, presented to the attending nurses the Association’s achievements and activities for the 2024–2025 period, outlining the initiatives and actions undertaken for the benefit of patients living with Inflammatory Bowel Diseases (IBD).

During the meeting, suggestions from the nurses were recorded, with the aim of expanding outreach to more patients and strengthening the Association’s voice at all levels.

With a spirit of unity and collaboration, the message of the event was clear:
