Programme:
We will start from Psilo Dentro in Pano Platres at 9:30 a.m. and make our way along the Kryos Potamos stream towards the Caledonia Waterfalls. The starting point is at an altitude of 1,200 metres, with an elevation change of approximately 250 metres until reaching the waterfalls. We will return via a circular forest trail through the woodland, ending back at Psilo Dentro where we began. The total duration of the hike, from start to finish, is approximately 2 hours.
The route begins at Point 8, continues in a circular direction to Point 11, and returns to Point 8 where the hike concludes.
Participants should bring:
Hiking shoes or sturdy closed-toe footwear with good grip
Hiking sticks (or a walking stick), if desired
Water and snacks, if needed
A towel (optional)
Afterwards, we will travel by our own vehicles to the village of Omodos, departing at approximately 12:15 p.m. The journey will take around 40 minutes, and we expect to arrive at the tavern at approximately 1:30 p.m. Lunch will be served at “Themistoklis’ Courtyard” Tavern, including salad, traditional appetisers, bulgur meatballs, chicken and pork souvla with oven-baked potatoes, wine, and water.
We look forward to having you join us.
