Dear friends,
Recently, we have received numerous phone calls from parents whose children are living with Inflammatory Bowel Diseases (IBD) and are due to enlist in the Cyprus National Guard. Many of these parents have raised questions and concerns regarding the military service obligations of young people diagnosed with Crohn’s disease or ulcerative colitis.
As an association, we undertook the responsibility of examining the relevant legislation in order to provide our members with accurate, reliable, and well-documented information regarding the rights of individuals with IBD in relation to compulsory military service.
Several volunteers dedicated a considerable amount of their time to this effort, and we are pleased to be able to present the specific legislative provisions that relate to Inflammatory Bowel Diseases.
Please follow the links below to view the attached documents:
We wish you all a pleasant and peaceful summer.
