On Monday, 25 July 2022, the Cyprus Crohn’s & Colitis Association (CYCCA) held a meeting with the Minister of Health, Mr Michalis Hadjipantela. The challenges faced by patients with IBD were discussed, and immediate action was requested to address them. Present at the meeting were the Minister of Health, Mr Michalis Hadjipantela, Dr Panagidis (Medical Officer First Class), and representing CYCCA were President Ms Natasa Theodosiou, Vice President Mr Yiannis Antoniadis, and Administrative Officer Ms Athina Spanou.

Mr Michalis Hadjipantela stated: “Ways to improve the quality of life of patients living with Inflammatory Bowel Diseases are currently being examined.”

The proposals submitted by the Cyprus Crohn’s & Colitis Association were recorded, and actions to address them will be initiated as quickly as possible.
