Visit of the Cyprus Crohn's and Colitis Association (CYCCA) to Nicosia General Hospital

On 6 July 2026, the Vice President of the Cyprus Crohn's and Colitis Association (CYCCA) , Mr. Simos Katsouris, and the Association’s Administrative Officer, Ms. Athina Spanou, visited Nicosia General Hospital.

During their visit, they attended the Infusion Unit, where they had the opportunity to meet with patients receiving intravenous biological therapies, as well as with the nursing staff, listening to their experiences, needs, and concerns.

As part of the visit, the Association donated consumable supplies and hospitality items (beverages, cups, plates, and light refreshments), which will be offered to patients by the nursing staff during their treatment sessions.

The visit also included the Endoscopy Department and the Gastroenterology Outpatient Clinics, where discussions were held and views were exchanged on matters relating to the care of people living with Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD).

During these meetings, issues affecting patients were identified and recorded, with the aim of promoting recommendations and initiatives that will contribute to the continuous improvement of the services provided. Informational material from the Association was also distributed to patients and healthcare professionals.
