The Cyprus Crohn’s and Colitis Association (CYCCA), as part of its ongoing activities, held a meeting with the Cyprus Gastroenterology Society to discuss issues affecting our members. The following topics were discussed during the meeting.
- In preparation for World Inflammatory Bowel Disease Day, various matters relating to the upcoming events and activities were discussed.
- Articles were requested from members of the Cyprus Gastroenterology Society for inclusion in the next issue of our magazine (Pregnancy and Sexual Health, Biosimilars and Biological Therapies).
- Military service-related challenges faced by patients with Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD).
- The process for including IBD patients in the register of teachers with disabilities eligible for appointment.
- The publication of Cypriot informational leaflets on Ulcerative Colitis and Crohn’s Disease based on UK standards.
- Updates regarding the training of nurses in IBD care in collaboration with the Nursing Services, ECCO, EFCCA, and NECCO.
